Laughing

This weekend I put in The Little Mermaid and played the section on the disk that shows only the musical sections from the movie. Ian really loves the song that the French chef sings about cooking fish. There is a part where the chef says "hee hee hee haw haw haw" and when that part came on Ian laughed! It was so cool to see him reacting to what he was seeing and hearing. I am so happy that I joined the Disney Movie Club and got all those movies! (If you are intrested in joining the Disney Movie Club let me know and I will send you a referal...then if you join Ian gets a FREE movie!)

Ian is starting to get the whole idea of talking and that it is a means of communication. This weekend he was "talking" to me. He looked right at me and told me something in baby babble. I would have given anything to be able to peek inside his mind at that moment and figure out what he was telling me. It was so sweet to hear that little voice do something other than cry and grunt. :-)

Recommendation: Thank you to my friend Sarah for turning us onto children's author Mo Williems. We love his books! Sarah got Ian "The Pigeon Wants A Puppy" and we just got Ian "Knuffle Bunny." I highly recomend these books and they are so fun to read with all the room for voices and emotion. Thank you Sarah!!!
