Happy New Year - Jan. 1st 2009

We took a trip to Chris' parents on January 1st to have Christmas with them and also give that side of the family a chance to come over and meet Ian. He got to see Great Grandma Stacer, and Grandma Karen again. This time Grandma Karen's husband Jack came along to meet the little bugger. Ian also got visits from Chris' cousin Deb, her husband Jim and their grandkids Ashley and Kaylee, the neighbors Kevin and Teresa, Great Aunt Judy, and Great Uncle Elmer (and his pug Meeko.) It was a full house and Ian (and Mason) loved the attention.

Here is Ian hanging out on Grandma Jo Ann's lap.Aunt Melissa and Ian...both Ian and Mason enjoyed their time on Aunt Melissa's lap. Mason jumped up on her every chance he got.
Ian trying out the high chair that Grandma Jo Ann got for him to use at her house.
Shadow hanging out with Grandpa Don's turkey. Shadow doesn't really care for Mason invading his house so he hung back and watched the craziness from the sidelines. When we arrived I set Ian in his car seat on the living room floor and Shadow came over and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

Mason and Meeko having a little kissy time.
Ian was such a good baby for our visit. He was in a very good mood...at least until the evening when the overwhelming day got the best of him. He cried himself to sleep and slept sound all night long.
Grandma and Ian.
Grandpa and Ian.
Jim and Mason...Mason will jump on just about any lap that he thinks he might get away with it.
Kaylee holding Ian. Kaylee was a great help to us on our visit keeping an eye on Mason and giving him someone to play with.

It was a lovely trip. We were worried about how it would be spending the night away for the first time but it turned out good and both Ian and Mason were on their best behavior. I just can't believe the amound the STUFF we had to haul with us to make a simple overnight visit. Yikes!
