Justice

Some of you know (and some of you don't) that while I was pregnant with Ian we were not sure what his first name would be. While going through a baby name book Chris and I were laughing at names we would never pick and we thought it would be funny to pick a name that was over-the-top silly and call the baby that until he was born as a sort of name placeholder. Well, Chris came across Justice and thought that it would have been the perfect American Gladiator name, so it became our baby name placeholder. There was some confusion with folks who thought that was a name we were really considering (it never really was in the running however.) Well that brings me to my point for the day. I was reading Parents magazine and in an article called "9 Trends to Look For in '09" they listed the following under trend number 8...

"Baby Names Are Inspirational. Choice names will reflect qualities that money can't buy. For girls, think Honor, Grace, Serenity; for boys, Justice will be hot."

I couldn't believe my eyes...my silly, couldn't ever be a real baby name option is the HOT name for 2009?!? Are you kidding me? I guess it was a good thing Ian was born in 2008 then.
