After a visit to my work first thing this morning we went to the doctor today for Ian's six month old well baby visit and immunizations. Ian is doing great, and getting over being sick. He measures at 17lb. 8oz. and is now 27 inches long. While the doctor examined Ian, he just trying to grab at everything in reach and only got upset once when the doctor used the tongue depressor. When it came time for shots he got three, and one orally. Ian gulped down the oral immunization without a problem. The nurse was fast with his three shots, Ian didn't even react for the first one but by the second one coming out he was crying. I was surprised that he got over it pretty fast, only crying for a few minutes. He is at day care now probably sleeping off his excitement.
I was really glad that I took him into work this morning. Ian really enjoyed getting loved on by everyone in the building. He even readily went to a few people to be held for a few minutes. He was smiling and acting shy, clearly loving the attention. I was glad to give him some fun time before I took him off to be tortured by the doctor and nurse.
