Weekend Adventures

We took a trip to my parents this weekend. My dad invited Chris to go with him to a Red Wings game on Saturday (he got tickets to watch the game from a suite!). When we arrived my aunts Grace and Sophie came to see Ian. In the picture below Aunt Grace is holding Ian. Ian was so sweet and he held his arms out to both Grace and Sophie wanting to be held by them. He knows people who love him without a doubt.
While Chris was at the hockey game Ian and I went out visiting. First we went to visit Sarah in Royal Oak. She was so sweet giving Ian three new books and letting him play on a blanket on her floor. When we left there we drove out to visit my old high school friends Nicole and Kevin. They have adorable twin girls Brianna and Katelyn (4 years old), who were not in the mood to have this pictures taken. The only picture I got was the one below of Ian playing at Nicole and Kevin's house. The girls took turns giving Ian hugs and he was soaking up all the love.
Mason went with us and got to see his "girl friend" Jessica. Here they are enjoying each others company and a little kiss.
While we hung out around the table talking Ian was working really hard to try and get a drink out of this gallon of water. You can see him trying to work that cap.
He worked for quite a while before he got tired of trying.
One last ditch effort to simply drink the water through the side of the bottle. Silly boy. While I was getting groceries at Meijer I found this little contraption that hooks to the top of a standard water bottle that allows babies to drink from it like a sippy cup. Ian is going to love trying that out.
Come on water get in my belly!
Here is a picture of my brother hanging out on the couch surrounded in sleeping dogs.
Ian loves to stand up right now, even on the table.
This picture of Ian with his Grandma Shirley is so sweet.
While Dad and Chris were at the Red Wings game they got hats signed by Dino Ciccarelli. Those lucky guys! Note Mason up on the arm of the couch working his way into the picture.
Jessica in her spot making sure the squirrels of the world know she is there.
Ian trying on one of the signed hats...might be the only time it ever gets worn.
Jessica and Mason saying good bye before we had to leave to come home.
They are so good together. We even left to together while we went out to breakfast Sunday morning.
Ian hanging out in my parents living room. We brought the Bumbo chair with us and I was glad we did because I used it for a high chair to feed Ian his applesause (which he ate the entire container of in one sitting).
One last picture of the cutie.
