Busy Weekend

This was a VERY busy weekend. We got a lot done and worked in some fun time too. Saturday started out with Ian hanging out in his jumper horsey. He was tired because he didn't sleep well the night before. He is miserable with teething. Poor thing cries out in the night, is rubbing his ears all the time. I took him to the doctor today to rule out an ear infection. He is healthy...just teething. Poor kid.Chris' parents came over Saturday to help with putting in the kitchen flooring. Jo Ann watched Ian while I painted the rest of the trim, and Don helped Chris in the kitchen. (Thank you again for all your help!)
Here is Don, and in the picture you can see the old flooring.
...and here is Chris with the new flooring. We still have to put in the trim around the bottom but it is in! The carpet is getting done Friday too! I can't wait to have all pretty new floors!!!
Ian is getting to be really great with playing. He can sit and play, with little interaction from anyone, for about a half-hour. I just direct him to another toy when he starts to get bored. He is an amazing kid. I love his face in this picture...it almost looks like he is guilty of something.
Give me that camera!
Now that he is into teething full swing he is starting to enjoy some of the teether toys he didn't like before. This one is a raspberry shaped pacifier. It is all rubbery so he can chew on any part of it, and the pacifier side is all nubby to massage the gums.
After we took this picture my friend Kati called and invited Ian and I over to watch Twilight with her. I wish I had taken my camera to get a picture of her with Ian. Chris went with friends to the first Saginaw Spirit Hockey playoff game of the season.
On Sunday Dan and Chantel came over to watch Ian while Chris and I worked, but we were too tired to do much (Ian kept us up really late crying due to teething pains.) Since we didn't get much done we just hung out. I made up this little pen for Mason because Chantel is allergic to him and she is pregnant so she can't take any medicine to help. Chris went in to join Mason for a while.
Chantel playing on the floor with Ian on Sunday while Dan played video games with Chris. We did get some things done though. Dan helped Chris put together our new baby safety gate for the entry way and Chantel helped me mind Ian while I did the grocery shopping.
Hi Mama, just checking to make sure you are still there.
Could Ian's eyes look any bigger?
Here is Ian modeling his new leg warmers. I found them at Target and Chris picked the pirate print. They are meant to keep the legs warm (duh) and also to protect crawlers knees. Cool!
I had to include this poorly centered picture too because I think that Ian's little pose is just so cute. He was enjoying rolling around testing his new leg warmers.
Sleepy baby smirk. I took this right before we went to sleep last night. He was fussing and didn't want to sleep so we played on the bed listening to classical music for a while to chill out. We are doing that again right now...hopefully he will sleep better tonight. My poor little teething boy.
Tonight Ian ate in his Bumbo chair with the tray attached. He smeared this food all over the tray and himself. Mason LOVED it. He was right in Ian's face "cleaning up" the mess.
