Two Words

Ian now has two words! He already was saying doggie, or really more like "Duh-Gie" but still he meant doggie. He said it last night to call the dog into the kitchen with us. This morning however he acquired his second word, "Dada!" While we were getting ready he said "Dada" clear as a bell. Chris and I looked at each other in amazement, silently asking if he said what we thought he said. Then Ian said it again, "Dada." Chris got so excited and exclaimed "I win!" It was really cute. Since Chris was so excited that of course made Ian want to say it more. So for the rest of the morning all I heard was "Dada Dada Dada." We are going to have to work on "Mama" a little more regularly so Chris doesn't continue to gloat for too long.
