Here Ian is playing with his toy cell phone that he got for Christmas from Dan and Chantel. He just recently decided that it is the best toy in the world and he wants to play with it all the time. If I want him to come back from scooting towards trouble I press the buttons on the cell phone and he turns, smiles and comes scooting back to grab the phone. It is too cute.

In this picture Ian had crawling over to the sun shine and touched it. I was very impressed with his curious nature. Mason promptly used the spot to nap in the sun.

Here Ian is using his cell phone all wrong. He knows that it has something to do with the mouth so in it goes. Poor Ian has been miserable this weekend with teething pains...mostly at night (joy). His gums are VERY swollen and you can see the tips of his two top teeth just under the surface. I would expect that they will finally erupt this week and give the poor kid a much needed break from his suffering.

Ian scooting right over top of his Leap Frog Octopus. It is another current favorite toy, which was a gift from the Kerr Family (family of a co-worker). When you press one of the tentacles it will say the color name in English and Spanish, and every once in a while it will say a color without being pressed. The first time it did it Ian and I looked at each other then to the toy across the room, then back to each other. He didn't have to talk because I was thinking the same thing. Creepy. We still love the toy and I am learning all my colors in Spanish.

Cutie smile!
On the move. This weekend Ian has made leaps and bounds on his movement. He scoots around as fast as can be. Who needs to crawl when you can get there just as fast by scooting? Also, Ian has been insisting upon standing whenever possible. He likes to hold onto stuff or your hands and stand up. He isn't too good at pulling himself up yet but it won't be long he will be cruising around holding onto the coffee table and couch.
Ian crawled over the entry way gate with Mason this weekend. I helped him up into a stand and he held on there for quite a while.

He seemed pretty proud of himself for standing there.
