This week I got my hair cut, and as usual I couldn't help but try something new. I went a little shorter and I really like it.
Ian was sick over the weekend and I stayed home with him on Monday. We went to the doctor and found that he has a virus which has caused a sore throat. Even though he hasn't felt good Ian still has quite the energy for playing. On our sick day he enjoyed playing peek-a-boo with me, walking with his rocket, and we watched A Bug's Life together. Besides the being sick part it was a lovely day we got to spend together.Where's Ian?
There he is!
Tonight I tried really hard to get a picture of Ian and I together. It was a complete fail and all I got were a bunch of pictures like this one. I think he was just too tired from the day. I picked him up early from day care and took him back to work with me from 4 to 5pm. Ian enjoyed visiting the folks I work with and crawling around by my desk while I finished up a few things. After work we met Daddy and went to a work picnic, which was an employee appreciation party. Ian got to eat some tasty watermelon and cheesy potatoes. Brenda, a women Chris works with, took Ian for a while and he seemed to enjoy visiting with her and getting to eat bits of cookie she fed him. What a lucky little boy to be loved by so many people.
I put Ian to bed in his crib and went to take a shower tonight. After my shower I found that he got up crying and Chris took him to the living room. Chris tried laying him on the mattress that is on the floor in the living room, but Ian slide off and found his own comfy spot to fall asleep. What a cutie pie. It was so hard to pick him up and put him back in bed because he was just so precious laying half on the mattress.
This weekend we are going to have a little party for Ian's birthday, so we are going to save his birthday celebration for then. I will post lots of pictures! He will get to celebrate at day care tomorrow with some chocolate chip cookies Chris and I baked tonight.
Happy Birthday Ian Douglas!
