Happy Birthday To Me

Friday was my birthday and it was a great day. I thought it wasn't going to be because I had to take Ian to get his 12 month vaccinations in the morning. He took it wonderfully and after the initial crying from the poke you wouldn't have known he got shots. Ian weighed in at 22 lbs. 2 oz. and was 29.5 inches tall. His doctor thinks he is a very healthy little boy. Yay Ian!

This picture was from earlier this week. Ian loves to put stuff into the storage truck in his rocket ride on toy. He played putting stuff in and out for a long time one evening.Hi there everyone! Ian took his first step on Friday. He took a full step recovered then fell down. What a great birthday present to me. All weekend he has been trying to walk without holding on. His best was two steps before falling down. We are on our way to running.
After Ian had his shots we went to visit Chantel and Isabelle for a while then went home to try and nap. (Thank you for Chantel, Dan and Isabelle for the book and gift card for my birthday.) I took Ian and Mason into my room and we hung out on the bed. Ian did not nap. He preferred to look out the window instead.
Mason really enjoyed looking out the window with Ian. They shared the little space in front of the window for a good while before Ian got bored.
Then went bouncing all over the bed.
Rolling around on the cool sheets is fun.
Stretching out to relax a little after all the bouncing. You can see the band aids from his shots in this picture. Ian took one of the band aids off himself and handed it to me.
My little boy sure knows how to pose for a nice drama photo.
Mason still looking out the window. There might be a bird or a squirrel to bark at, you have to keep watching to be certain.
Ian and his best friend...his thumb.
Later on Friday Ian feel asleep on me finally taking that nap. He was so snugly that I didn't want to put him down. So we snuggled in the chair while he napped. After his nap we went out to pick up the bike that Chris got me for my birthday. I was so disappointed that it was so hot and rainy this weekend so I haven't been able to ride it yet.
Sunday morning Chris was snoozing on the couch and Mason joined him. They were so cute I had to get a picture. Chris will probably be mad that I posted this one but it was to precious not to share.
My little cutie, contemplating what he will get into next. Dumping the DVD's off the shelf sounds like fun. Buh ha ha ha ha.
Nope, gettingf Mommy's computer is a way better use of my time getting into trouble. Note he has figured out how to open the lid of the laptop. Next he will be turning it on, and before I know it he is going to be programming viruses on it when he gets mad at me.
Shaking Daddy's pop bottle. With hundreds of dollars worth of toys laying all around my house it is always the bottle that gets his attention.
Sunday lazy time on the floor. That cute shirt came from Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Tony from Niagara Falls. He got a lot of compliments on the moose when we were out and about on Sunday.
Close up of those gorgeous eyes.

Chris took this cute little video of Ian on Saturday and I thought it was worth sharing.
