Another Weekend In The Life...

We had a nice weekend. We got a visit from my parents on Saturday and Chris' parents on Sunday, so Ian got to see all his grandparents over the weekend...and they got to see him walking in person for the first time. He was happy to show off his skills.

In a quiet moment Ian was having a little milk before bed and in true Ian fashion he finds it impossible to sit still to drink so he stood in front of my chair. He reminds me of a baby farm animal drinking standing up like that. Such a silly boy.Reading time! Ian LOVES his books. He is allowed to play with his board books and a small selection of paper books any time he would like. He knows what cube in the book shelf is his and he pretty much sticks to his own spot now. He will pull every single book off the shelf and look at them all one at a time. It is just precious seeing him grow into a love for books.
This Rainbow Rob book that he got from his Aunt Melissa (Chris' sister) is one of his more favorite books of all. It is always the very first one off the shelf.
I like this picture because it pretty much captures my view of my world, watching out for my boys. Ian was all over the place playing, and Mason was sitting vigil by the door waiting for Chris to get home from the gas station. You can see the box for my new carpet cleaning in the the background. I got a great deal on it at Kohls, and exactly one week to the day that I bought it, I needed it thanks to a chicken wing sauce spill. Nothing like some good timing and paying pretty much half price. Whoo Hoo!
I am ready to go!
We went to Sam's Club on Saturday and I bought Ian a package of animal crackers that is about as big as he is. Animal crackers, or as we call them cookies, are a much have in our household these days. Ian loves them!
I thought these pictures of him waiting to get into the big jar were precious. It looks like he is hugging it.
Me and my happy boy on Saturday.
Hi there people!
I thought this picture was to cute not to share. Chris was giving Ian his before bed milk last night and Ian wiggled down and was hugging Chris' leg. It was one of those moments that melts your heart.
Shortly after the above picture, Chris got up for a moment and Mason jumped up to enjoy the warm seat. So I put Ian up with him and adorable ensued. Ian put his arm over Mason and they hung out. They are such good buddies.
Mr. Smiles on Sunday. He was the picture of a tree hugger today in a save the earth shirt and camo pants. We took him up to Jays with Chris' parents and Chris traded in his old rifle for a new one. I imagine there will be more skeet (clay) shooting in the near future.
This video is a little sample of what it is like feeding Ian these days. He has learned about putting stuff in his own mouth, but he hasn't exactly mastered the art of moderation. At one point I think he had 4 crackers in his mouth at once
