Happy Mother's Day

To all the Moms out there, Happy Mother's Day!

I noticed Ian hiding in the corner of the living room reading.  So I snapped a couple pictures before he noticed me.
Beat on Daddy time was interrupted by Mason insisting that Daddy needed kisses, lots of kisses.
Ian and Daddy having a little tongue sticking out war.  I think that Ian won on the count of his cuteness.
Ian would throw himself off his Daddy, and I think that he really enjoyed falling to the floor.
Ian was wearing his teething ring on his head like a crown. I missed the shot but this one is pretty awesome too.  You can see the ring midair falling to the ground.
Saturday morning Ian on a haircut.  It was his first haircut there she used the clippers instead of just scissors.  He did pretty well considering, and oh boy does he look big now.  I think that Chris regrets getting Ian's hair cut a little bit because of how much older he looks now.
This morning Ian was very happy for the camera.  I got lots of smile pictures.
Starting first thing in the morning Ian wanted goldfish crackers.  He insisted on carrying that bag of crackers around with him all day long.
Random Mason shot.  He is so amazingly patient with Ian.  This morning Ian jumped on Mason and gave him a big kiss on the mouth.  When Mason is nervous or has had enough he just wiggles away and leaves.  We are really lucky to have Mason.
Recently we decided to get out back yard ready to be a fun place for Ian to hang out this summer.  So we have been looking at swing sets, slides, and all manor of outdoor fun stuff, trying to find the best thing for Ian considering the money we had to work with.  Today we went to Menard's and they have a play place where kids can play on some of the stuff they sell.  Ian fell in love with this one slide, but Menard's didn't have it in stock.  On a whim we stopped in Kmart on the way home, and they had it!  So we got it for Ian.  Chris put it together in the evening and we took Ian out to show him right before bed.  Here we are heading out the back door.
Ian was so excited that the slide was in his very own backyard.  He ran up to it and starting climbing up right away.
The side you climb up is like a climbing wall.  Ian can easily dig his toes in and work his way up.
He just got to the top for the first time, and I managed to get half a video before the camera battery died.  I think that Ian is going to get a lot of use of his slide this summer.  It has a basketball hoop on one side and holes in the side on the other.  The slide came with a basketball, a soccer ball and football too!
 Videos will be posted soon.

He'll have lots of fun this summer with that slide! And the haircut is so cute. He does look older - your baby is growing up!!!
