On May 28, 2010 my sister-in-law, Melissa married her "beloved" David. Chris and I both stood up in the wedding party with them. Here are a few pictures from the day. There are a lot more pictures on Flickr, just click here to view them.
Ian all dressed up for the day, hanging out in the basement of the chapel.
My parents watched Ian in the basement of the chapel during the ceremony. He was upset during the rehearsal so it was decided that he would hang out so there were no interruptions during the ceremony. My dad brought a portable DVD player and Ian was happy as a clam.
Me dressed and ready to go.
The bridesmaids and bride: (right to left) Me, Jessie, Suzanne, Jody, and Melissa.
The groom and groomsmen: (right to left) David, Tim, Simon, Cameron, and Chris.
Chris and I after the ceremony. The bride and groom were treated to a horse and carriage ride after the ceremony so we were all outside to see them off.
For me the best part of the whole day was sharing a dance with my little boy. He was such a proper gentleman, and let me soak up my moment with him. I think he knew how much it meant to me to have a dance with him.
Jo Ann and Don, the parents of the bride.
David and Melissa, the bride and groom, at the reception. It was a lovely day. I can't wait to share some of the official pictures once they are back from the photographer. We took some fun photos with him, and there are some of Chris, Ian and I too!
At the end of the evening Ian was running around outside the reception hall over the golf course hills. He had a great time running off and back.
I wish that I had thought to take more pictures. I didn't get a picture of my parents together, or of all the other people that stood up in the wedding. Hopefully when Melissa gets the photos back I can fill in those gaps and show you more from the day.
