Busy Bees

Our weekend was a busy one.  Chris spent the weekend working on building a solar heater for the pool.  I have been working on cleaning the house for our party next week.  I was chosen to host a Hasbro Game Night.  They sent me 3 free games, snacks and coupons and in exchange I host a party with my friends to play the games they sent.  One of the games in the new Trivial Pursuit Bet You Know It, which comes out in August.  The party is June 19, so if you want to come email me and I will get you the details.

Chantel got Ian a Toy Story beach ball and a pool toy because she knows how much he loves Toy Story right now.  Ian has really enjoyed the beach ball.  Hopefully it will survive until the pool heats up and we can try it out in the water.
On Saturday we went to a BBQ and our friend Joe's house.  He has a Corgi, and I was very curious about the dogs cage.  I had to snap a quick picture of Ian with the cage.  He seemed to want to go inside but was to shy.  We played latter ball and hung out in Joe's yard until Ian got to warm and we had to take him home.
My son is growing up way to fast.  He sits at the table now without a booster seat, and he actually can reach everything just fine.  No surface in my house is safe.  There is a little ceramic rabbit that my parents brought back from one of their trips that sits on that bookshelf.  Ian loves to steal it and I will find it back on the shelf is various positions.  Right now the rabbit is kissing a little bird figuring that is up there as well.
We went to the park Sunday morning.  Ian and I went to play and Chris practiced softball with Dan and Chantel, who are both on his team.  In fact Dan is the coach of the rec. team they are playing on this summer. Ian had a great time on all the slides.  He was moving so fast I could barely keep up.

Dan, Chantel and their little girl Isabelle.  For a while Ian and I sat in the dug out watching them take turns throwing and hitting.  I was calling it baseball as to not confuse Ian, and he looked out at his Daddy and said "bassa ba" which is sounded just like baseball with a strong Italian accent.  I was glad that Dan was sitting with us at that moment so someone else could hear that cute little voice say a new word.

As usual check out Flickr for more pictures and a video.

I completely forgot to rsvp to your the game party invitation I got and this post reminded me. Only now when I tried to it said the event is no longer accepting rsvps. Is it too late? I hope not. Josh and I were looking forward to it.
