Mason in a polaroid (gosh I miss those cameras.) He has been such a good sport with Chris being hurt; staying out of the way and being careful of Chris. What a good dog.

Ian playing taken with a fun affect that makes the picture look older. I love how they look on this setting. My dad asked me how Ian was dealing with Chris being on crutches. Honestly, he doesn't seem to concern himself with them at all. He is more interested in the fact that Daddy can't get on the floor and play with him anymore. However, he loves that Daddy sits in the back of the van with him everyday since Chris can't bend him leg enough to get in the front seat. Thank goodness for vans!

Chris in good spirits. He has been feeling down because he can't do a whole lot but he is making progress healing his knee. Hopefully he will be able to put weight on it soon and walk with a cane instead of crutches. He wants a cool cane. I don't know where I will find a cane decorated with rhinestones and a secret sword inside but I will have to keep my eyes out for one. Just kidding. He just doesn't want an "old man" cane.

Here Ian is playing with a shoe box full of rubber letters I got for him to try and make bath time more fun.. He has not been doing well in the bath again so I was hoping that a new cool toy would help make baths fun again. So far playing with them dry is Ian's favorite. He was singing his version of the ABC song while playing and lining up the letters. It was letter sounds in the same rhythm as the song. It won't be long and he will be singing it correctly.

Since Chris has been unable to walk or drive, his car was just sitting in the driveway right where our good friend left it after she drove it home from the game when Chris was hurt. I went to move it on Friday night so I could mow the grass under it and found the battery was dead. The satellite radio was left on. Oops. I should have checked that. Also, Chris had left an unopened can of pop in the cup holder. Did you know they explode in high heat? Well, I do now. Thankfully it wasn't too much of a mess, but not what I wanted to deal with. After a quick jump start Chris' car is back in business and a lot cleaner.

Ian and I did Daddy's job and went to the meat store (the butcher just doesn't sound like a very nice name to me, so it will now be known as the meat store.) They have this little cow statue inside the store. While I picked out my selections Ian played with the cow. I just missed getting a picture of him giving it a kiss. They are so nice there, and know us well. In fact one lady that works there was on the adjacent field the night Chris was hurt and asked after him when I stopped in. It is one great thing about smaller towns, you get to be known at places you frequent, and you get extra amazing service once you are a "regular."

Here is the only picture I took on our camera this week. We were having dinner and Ian started to try to use the salad servers like giant forks. He managed to spear a puff on the table and it stuck between the tines so he had a successful bite with his giant fork.
If you want to see more pictures from my phone, I have a set on Flickr just for uploads from my phone. I might add some randomly throughout the week to Flickr also, should I catch something amusing along the way.
