Our weekend

For whatever reason my pictures from this weekend loaded in reverse order...so here is our weekend from the end to the beginning. Chris and I took Friday off work to work on things around the house to prepare to have new carpet installed. Chris moved some furniture and I worked on giving our trim a fresh coat of paint. No worries about slopping paint on the carpet because it will get ripped out in a week or two anyways. On Saturday we went to Chris' parents place in Deckerville. Chris' sister Melissa recently got engaged to her boyfriend David (they live in Indiana). This was the first time we have seen her since the engagement and she asked Chris and I both to stand up in her wedding!

While we were in Deckerville Ian got a visit from his Grandma Karen. We love to see her and Ian had a blast playing on the floor with her during her visit.I big smooch from Mason. In this picture Ian doesn't look much like he enjoys Mason's kisses but he actually really loves the attention from the dog. It gives him the giggles.

This was such a cute little face Ian made I had to share the picture. He is so sturdy now, sitting on his own and belly crawling around.I was trying to get a picture where you could see into Ian's mouth, so you could spy the tops of his two bottom teeth. They just broke through the surface of his gums, and are causing the poor little boy so much discomfort. His gums are all swollen and he is drooling, chewing and rubbing his little ears as those teeth work there way out.
We did a lot of playing on the floor over the weekend. This was funny...Chris was playing with Ian and Mason decided that Chris looked like a jungle gym and climbed up and walked all around on top of Chris before settling in to hang out.
We were tossing a bag of treats around playing keep away with Mason. Every few times that the bag would come to me I would give him a piece of a treat. Well this time he jumped over me and perched on the back of the couch as if to say, "give me the treats of else I will pounce on you."
I thought this picture of Chris was nice. He was just checking out an ad paper in his dad's chair. Love the lighted palm tree!!!
One of our many play times on the floor. Ian was showing off his skills at baby yoga. He would go from his belly to hands and knees, then to hands and feet. It looked like he was trying to master the downward dog yoga pose.
This kid just loves to get his picture taken, and he seems to be vary aware of how cute he is. I can see trouble in my future from this one.
On our way to Deckerville we took a detour past the new windmills that were put up. Those this are gigantic. GIGANTIC!!! It was really cool because it was a bit foggy early Saturday morning and as we drove more windmills would pop up out of the fog off in the distance. I was very shocked by how many there were. About half of them were spinning at the time...but none were spinning on our way home.
Here is a picture of Mason in the truck on our way to Deckerville on Saturday. I caught a picture of him smiling, which is rare these days since he prefers to stick our his lower teeth.
A good friend of ours Olivier is moving away for a new job in Tulsa. We went to his going away party on Friday night. I got this cute picture of the guys all decked out in Red Wings attire at the party
On Friday Chris and I put our Frier Tuck (it once belonged to Chris' grandma) out in the back yard. It is visible from the kitchen window so I put some critter food in it for the squirrels and chipmunks to eat. Not an hour later I saw two squirrels out there chowing down.
