Bye-Bye

On Monday I picked Ian up from day care and as we left I waved at all the kids and said "bye bye" like I do every day. Usually Ian waves with me but on Monday he whispered "bye bye." It was so precious. When we got upstairs he said it again to Polly. I just about cried hearing my little man learn to say another new word.

It is so sweet how low his voice is when he talks sometimes, like he is unsure if he is saying it right. Other times he will say things at the top of his voice and squeal with delight at himself. So far he says: Mama, Dada, Dad, Duh (for Dog), Ba Ba (bottle), Bye Bye, and yeah. It is very clear that he understand a lot more than that. If I ask him if he is hungry or if he wants a "Ba Ba" he will squeal when he is hungry, and ignore me when he isn't. He knows that waving can mean "Hi" and "Bye" and he will wave at people all the time. He even waves hi to strangers if he likes the looks of them.

It is so precious watching him learn and become a little boy. My heart swells and I celebrate every little new accomplishment he makes.

**Also, today I posted a list of my favorite baby products on my other blog for those folks who are going to be new mom's. Check it out.**
