Busy Boy

Ian is such a busy boy these days. He is every where all at once now but he is cuter than ever. He has been diving out of our arms or off things a lot lately. He thinks it is great to get caught hanging upside down off the side of the chair or bed. Well on Sunday he took a dive off my bed and in my spectacular catch I bent my foot funny and hurt my right big toe. It was very painful so we went to the ER. The ER doctor thinks it is broken, but the person who read the x-rays (in Australia, yeah they email x-rays to Australia to be read...what the heck!) doesn't think it was broken. Either way it was hurt. So I have a really cute cast shoe, that looks like a really ugly sandal, and crutches. I haven't been using the crutches today, because it really isn't that painful if I walk on my heel. This is just another in the list of things that I think a mother of a baby should never have to deal with. At least I am not so messed up that I can't chase around after my little dare devil.

We put the jumping horse away last week and put out the mattress he won it that contest. It is now a great little playing nook in the living room.Ian is still playing with his new toy like crazy. He loves pulling the little character toys off the front and pitching them around the room or banging them together in his hands. I love this shirt on him in these pictures. It is so cute. He looks like a tourist.
Big smile playing with, of all things, an empty water bottle.
Yeah, the kid has hundreds of dollars worth of toys and he picks a water bottle to play with. Go figure.
Mason using the mattress as a bed. Ian likes to use the mattress as a place to climb up and then slide off it head first while giggling the whole time.
I thought this picture was cute with both boys checking out what Daddy was doing across the room.
On Saturday Ian learned the word "hi" and he spent the whole weekend practicing it whenever he had the chance. Every person and thing we passed when out and about he said "hi" in this sweet low little sing-song voice. When we were at the ER Chris said he was saying hi and flirting with the lady at the registration window.
I think it is so cute that most pictures of Ian have Mason there in the background somewhere. They are together so much. Ian has started to crawl into the kitchen now. Mason's litter box is in the corner in there so Ian has been getting curious about it. I don't know what to do with it now to keep Ian out of it.

The other day Ian was laying in the sunbeam that was shining in the window. I managed to catch a little of it on video, but the moment he noticed me there he got up and crawled over to me. It was so cute that he was soaking up the sun.

At the end of last week I got a really icky stomach virus and was out of it for a while. Chris did an amazing job taking care of Ian on his own for a couple days while I was sick. He is so great. Thank you Chris for making it so easy for me to take the time to get better. I love you!
