Busy Busy

We had a busy week. We started off the week with Ian's first big boy bath in the tub. Here we are heading to the bathroom.Ian didn't really care for the experience of having so much water around him. He spent the whole bath a little freaked out. So the rest of the week we went back to his little boy tub inside the big bathtub. He likes that much better for now.
I love that Ian spends so much time reading his books. It is adorable when he is looking at his books and babbling to himself.
Getting into trouble messing with stuff Daddy left on the side table. Ian has been going behind the recliner into this little space a lot lately. Perhaps he will need to get a tent or playhouse from Santa this year since he likes his little fort so much.
I thought this was a funny sight...Mason on the couch and Chris on the floor.
My little keeper of the kitchen gate. Ian LOVES to mess with the gate whenever he possibly can. He will usually either shut himself out of or into the kitchen, then complain that he wants the gate back open to do it all over again.
No Mommy I wasn't going to slam the gate again. Nope, not me.
The other night Chris gave Ian some cheesy poofs. Oh my goodness were they a hit, and a big mess. Ian pretty much shoved them into his mouth whole. (see video below)
Omm Nom Nom Nom Cheesy Poof!
Daddy likes the cheesy poofs too. He was being extra silly to get Ian to laugh.
The rarely caught on camera pug head tilt. "What did ya say?"
On Friday night I babysit our friends baby Isabelle. She was a doll and Ian and Mason both behaved wonderfully. It got hairy a couple times when both kids were crying but I got through the night with no problems.
Ian was great during the time I babysit. Mostly he just went about his usually business of playing and running around like a crazy man.
When Isabelle would cry Ian would either cry along with her because he was nervous or he would do everything in his tiny little power to ignore the noise by concentrating hard on playing or reading his books with his back to us.
On Saturday morning we had a first...Ian climbed up onto the couch where Chris was laying down. I missed it but I did get this picture of they reading together later. Note the dog snuggled into his favorite place behind the knees.
My boys refusing to come out of the kitchen when it was time to go shopping. Finally Chris and I went by the front down and said "Bye Bye, see you later" and Ian came running. Silly kid is obsessed with the kitchen these days.
Ian's new hat came in the mail on Saturday. I tried it on, and Ian thought that was pretty silly. After he tore it off my head...
...I put it on his head and he didn't think it was silly anymore. He really just does not like hats. I though the chin strap might help keep it on but he still manages to get it off really fast. Oh well, we can only try.

Ian and the cheesy poofs.

I love how Ian has out the book I gave him in so many of the "book" and "reading" pictures!! I knew that Rainbow Rob would be a hit!
