Hey, Ian come here for a minute. I have something to tell you.

We are going to go to a live hockey game this afternoon in Saginaw.

Looks like you are excited to go and cheer on the Saginaw Spirit!

Ian and his Daddy watching Ian's first live hockey game! Ian was so amazingly good during the game. He even clapped along with the crowd, especially during the fights. We stayed until the second intermission and went home, because bed time was approaching. As Ian got tired and started sucking his thumb he would still clap along with the crowd...thumb still in his mouth. Now that is a sign of a true hockey fan in the making.

Grandma and Grandpa
Stacer met us there. Grandma was giving Ian little bits of popcorn and he thought that was just about the yummiest thing ever. Unfortunately for Chris and I that meant lots of farts on the way home and during the process of getting ready for bed. Pew! Stinky!

Ian thought the toy soldiers in the Dow Event Center lobby were cool so we took pictures with one of them before we left.

As a little souvenir for his first hockey game we got him a little stuffed mascot toy,
Steagle Colbeagle the Eagle. Before we left everyone took turns using the restroom. While Ian and I waited we went to talk with a marine who was manning a Toys For Tots table in the lobby. I explained to Ian that they were collecting toys for kids who don't have any and gave him a dollar to give the man as a donation. The marine was very nice to Ian and gave us a magnet.

Here is a little video of Ian watching the game. It was so cute how he was following the play around the ice. I am just shocked by how good he was at the game and how well he handled all the noise.
