Super Sunday

Still trying out new things for pictures on this blog...let me know what you think of the pictures on this post.

Ian is doing AMAZING with sleeping in his big boy bed.  I couldn't have imagined the transition going any better, and I worry a lot less about him getting hurt.  He has fallen off the bed a couple times while playing, but no major injuries thanks to the short fall.

Here are a few pictures from our week.  Ian bringing a book to his room to read.

I am still amazed by Ian's ability to self-entertain.  He is great about going to his room to play alone.

Mid-read Ian decided that the dinosaur was too far away and so he drug him over to where he was reading.

...And then he was cool to sit down and read again.

Perhaps here he was reading to the dinosaur...or telling him to be quite because it was reading time.  I don't know.

Just before bedtime.  He is so cute in that big bed.

Enjoying some play time Friday night in Ian's room with Daddy.

Ian went to bed a little bit late on Friday, but he was having so much fun piling his stuffed animals up that I just didn't have the heart to break it up and enforce bed time.

I got his PJ's on and then Ian decided it was time to play with the stacking boxes a little before he went to sleep.

Saturday afternoon Ian was playing in his room with Mason.  I came back to check on them and this is what I saw.

On Saturday we took a trip to Saginaw with our friends Dan, Chantel and their baby Isabelle.  We got Ian a booster seat so he could eat at the table with us from now on.  Ian wasn't sure about it when he got strapped in but the moment he realized he got to eat at the table he was so happy.

I peeked in on Ian playing in his room today and found that he climbed up on his bed with this Handy Manny tools and was playing quietly with them.

After dinner tonight I gave Ian some paper and his crayons to color for a while.  He had more fun playing with the crayons, putting them in the box and taking them back out again.

Still dirty from dinner, but having a great time coloring.  I colored with him for a while but I got bored and decided to work on the bills.  All the while Ian was till content coloring.

Ian worked the crayon box so hard that it started to fall apart after while, so I put the crayons into one of those reusable Glad food container.  It works great for crayons and Ian loved having a bigger opening to get the crayons in and out.

Before bed tonight we had a little reading time again.  Ian sat on the floor with his book and I sat on the bed and read him "Llama Llama Red Pajama."

I wish that Ian would sit still long enough to sit with me and look at the pictures while I read.  He is so busy that he needs to be controlling his own pages during the story.

...and then it was bedtime.
