He Did It!

The past few days Ian hasn't been feeling very good due to a little virus.  He's had some very tender feelings and was a super snugly little guy while he wasn't well.  Luckily he started feeling so much better last night.  It was like night and day from even just that morning.  I went to work in the afternoon while Chris stayed home with Ian, and when I came home I was so surprised to see Ian.  He was standing on the recliner that faces away from the front door, and was leaning over the back smiling at me.  It was the brightest sunshine of a smile and I knew he felt better.

So yesterday evening Chris got doughnuts for dessert as a special treat.  Ian took his piece of doughnut into his Cosy Coupe car and put his feet up by the steering wheel to munch on his treat and watch TV without worry that Mason could come up and steal his goody.  It was so cute and I wish that I had the camera on me to catch that moment.

Then the biggest surprise of the day...Ian took a bath in the big tub and he didn't cry!  Huge!  Huge progress in his fear of all that water in the big tub.  I put him in the tub and he was a bit apprehensive at first, but he quickly got over it and started playing with his bath toys.  Who knows what clicked, but he was suddenly cool with hanging out in the tub.  So I decided to skip shampooing his hair  (another thing he hates) to keep this bath fun.  What a huge load off my shoulders.  I hated torturing him every bath time that we didn't use the tiny baby bath tub.  Oh and the tiny bath tub took a ride on the trash truck this week and decided not to come back.  Good bye tiny tub!
