Tonight Chris is off to the last home game of the regular Saginaw Spirit hockey season. Ian is asleep and I thought was a wonderful time to put some pictures on the blog, without rushing through it on Sunday night. So here is a little taste of the last few days.
Ian has been playing in his car a lot! He recently has started taking his toy keys in with him...you can see them hanging on the horn in this picture. He is starting to get the idea of how to move the car around with his feet but so far he can only go backwards. Good thing we don't have to pay auto insurance on this car and kid...it would cost and arm and a leg with as many times Ian backs into things.
Sometimes it is nice to just plop down wherever and read a good book with your dog.
Now that Ian can get up in the chairs whenever he wants, he does. Here he is watching Phineas and Ferb, which we have on DVD since we turned off our cable TV. So far we don't miss cable at all and Phineas and Ferb is better when you can watch many episodes in a row without various Disney promos and horrid teen music videos.
Holy moly what a difference a week makes...now Ian LOVES the bath (except for hair washing). Here you can see him playing with his squirting toys. (Note: If the modesty patch isn't enough to discourage any of you pedophiles out there please pour bleach in your eyes. Thank you.)
I had to put Ian's car in my room the other day because he was getting a little ornery because it wasn't doing what he wanted it to do, whatever that was. Later I got Ian in his PJ's in my room and was prepping for bedtime while he played in my room. After Ian went to bed I noticed that at some point he put his lotion and ointment in the cup holders of the car (which was still in my closet.) What a little, goofy kid!
Today I was working on folding flatware in napkins for my sister-in-law's wedding shower next weekend. Part of the time I was working Ian was having a fit crying and just plain being out of sorts. The other half of the time he was playing under the table and having a great time.
Don't you know that under the table is the best place in the house to read?
Ta Ta for now. I hope that your weekend is most lovely!
P.S. I recently learned that spacing twice after a period is no longer correct, and yet I cannot stop. Old habits die hard. I find it amusing, however, that I am now old enough to have outdated habits.

We have to get that photo made of him in his car. He looks so darn cute and "innocent" I'm sure his mother must be telling stories about him. lol
