Happy Easter!
This week Ian has turned into a rough and tumble little boy. It seems every time he turns around he is either throwing himself at the floor or wall, or he is hitting himself with a toy. He has this one car that will go when you shake it up. Ian shook the car right into the forehead...you will likely see that bruise in some the pictures below.
Mr. Ian showing some attitude during dinner earlier this week.
I am not sure if he is pointing at the camera that was in his face again or if he was trying to tell me off.
This time I KNOW he was telling me off.
Ian has taken over my iPod and the speakers. He goes and turns it on and off whenever he feels like some tunes.
I really don't mind since it is simply adorable when he dances around...and sometimes just chills out to listen.
I bought Ian a pair of sunglasses this weekend. He looks like one cool dude with his shades on.
Too bad he won't leave them on for more than a few moments.
He got a Happy Meal on Saturday night and the box turned into this cool hat! I get the feeling by his face in this picture that he knows how silly he looks in that hat.
Easter Sunday. Chris hid Ian's Easter basket in his tent and we helped him to find it. It was so cute seeing him get excited about it and explore what was inside. He got some bath toys, an airplane, yogurt bites, and some peanut butter cups. Lucky kid.
He decided that he wasn't interested in lunch, unless it was served on the go. So he ate his sandwich while hanging out in the living room. Whatever gets him to eat I suppose. Look at that dirty face!
In Ian's Easter bag from day care were these fancy sunglasses. Ian walked around with his head held high like a super star in his fancy specs.
For fun I went in Ian's room and hid some eggs with treats inside. They were pretty much in plain sight but Ian and I went in looking for them later. He had more fun eating the marshmallows in the eggs than he did finding them to begin with.
I tried to get a picture of Ian with the basket on his head like last year but that was a no go.
I thought this picture was just so cute. He is a little man but he is so big at the same time.
Taking his booty of treat filled eggs to the living room.
I let Ian having free reign over the yogurt bits he got from the Easter Bunny. He carried that bag around most of the day.
Other things we did this weekend that we don't have pictures for:
We took a trip to Midland and Saginaw on Saturday morning. It was time to stock up again on those yummy pouch foods that Ian loves so much. We also stopped into the Hobby Lobby so I could get paint to paint the canvas I purchased on our last trip to Saginaw. I am going to paint something to hang in the living room.
Later Saturday afternoon Ian had a visitor! A friend of Chris' and his wife and son came over for a visit. The little boy, Jack, is just a few months younger than Ian and they seemed to get along great. Ian was a little more timid than he usually is, but he did a great job of sharing his toys with Jack. Hopefully the boys will be able to have a play date again sometime soon.
And finally...the videos
This first video is of Ian's newest and most rough and tumble activity. He loves to wrestle with his Daddy and Ian usually gets the drop on Daddy.
Ian got a recorder in his stocking at Christmas and just recently he has figured out that it is for making music. I love the giggles.

Thanks so much for inviting us over this weekend. It's always nice to get out of the house and for ALL of us to hang out with other people :) Now that it's so nice out, maybe sometime soon Ian and Jack can have a play-date at the park!
