Here is Ian at the party wearing his Mickey Mouse ears from his party bag.

Then on Saturday night we went to a wedding reception for a co-worker of mine. The wedding was very casual, family only, and then the reception of a big Hawaiian party. Everyone was asked to dress in a Hawaiian shirt and come to have a good time. I didn't take many pictures but I did get this one of Ian playing with my phone while we wanted for the bride and groom to arrive.

There was a cool play ground right by the hall so Ian and I went out to play for a while. He is quite the little dare devil and was climbing the monkey bars all by himself. I stopped to snap a picture but my heart was in my throat the while time just waiting for him to crash. Surprisingly he climbed down on his own too!

Sunday we went to Dan, Chantel and Isabelle to the Saginaw Children's zoo. Ian got to pet a goat and a cow, and we saw all sorts of animals. We even got up really close to a wallaby.

We got stalked by a peacock that was begging for food. He took a nacho chip right out of my hand.

Ian talked with the monkeys, which he calls "moneys."
And...Ian got to ride a carousel for the first time. He was scared at first and didn't want to be on that horse, but by the time the ride was over he has warmed up to the fun.

After the zoo we stopped into Toys R Us so I could get a few last minute things for Ian's birthday. But the kids feel asleep on the way there.

Tonight we had a blast playing. Ian got Chris' shoes and put his feet in them, then he got my flip flops and tried those out too. After that he ran back and forth across the room from Chris to me and back, which got the dog all wound up too. In the end Ian and the dog ended up running around like Tasmanian devils before collapsing asleep for the night. It was a fun time.

If you want to see more pictures and lots more videos from tonight and the weekend please visit Flickr. I wish I could share them all here but there are just too many.

Don checked your blog this morning when he got up at 5:30 and then I was up to use the bathroom. We were just a chuckling at watching Ian on those video's. His cute voice with "yaw wo" and the dancing-it was all just so neat! If someone had come and seen us laughing like that and our ohh's and ah's so early they would have admitted us somewhere-we really enjoyed it all.
Thanks!
