Relaxing Weekend

It was one of those rare weekends when we found ourselves without any plans or things that NEEDED to be done, so we took advantage and just tooled around all weekend.

On Saturday went to Saginaw shopping. I had a Barnes and Noble gift card to spend and we wanted to do some birthday shopping for Ian at Toys R Us. While we were at Toys R Us we played with the little power cars and Ian tried out a couple of them. They are, of course, way too big for Ian but it was still fun.

This Escalade had big speakers in the back that made it look all "pimped out"This mini trail wagon look alike was almost $800! I am sorry but my first CAR was less than that!
This picture was actually from earlier in the week but it was cute and I wanted to share it. Ian was climbing all over Daddy in the morning.
The tv is up on the wall and in this picture Ian is watching Little Einstein.
Mason with a blanket babushka, which happens to be a word that makes Ian giggle every time you say it.
Back to the Toys R Us pictures. Since it was so close to Ian's birthday they gave him a crown and a balloon. It was Ian's first balloon and he loves it. There is a video below.
You don't get much happier than this face right here. This picture was taken around the same time as the video below of Ian being talkative.
Mason being a cutie while watching Ian play.
The boys caught sitting together on the mattress.
Ian and his first balloon. I remember the joy and wonder of a helium balloon, so what an experience is must be to encounter one for the first time.
On Sunday morning Chris got a call from John, a friend and co-worker of Chris', to come for a ride on his plane. So I followed him to the airport with Ian so we could watch them take off. We got some pictures before they left.
Chris and John, the pilot.
This was a good one of the plane, a Cessna 150, before they taxied down the runway to take off. sadly Ian got bored of waiting for them to take off and wasn't paying attention. It was pretty cool to see though.

Mr. Talkative, this is a short version of a much longer video which includes Ian trying to shake the gate open. I you listen closely you can hear a "hi" among the babble.

Ian with his balloon. I love his face when he loses it and it flies up to the ceiling at the end.
